In these days of economic distress, you need more value for your money, not less.Not happy with the peanut brittle at all. The little shortbread cookies were delightful just that the quantity was very meager. Same with expresso beans. Too much money is spent on packaging.

I wanted to send someting to my mom that I hadn't done before. My mother loves pears and mixed nuts. The package arrived early, and although I didn't see it she called me right away to inform me how beautiful it was. I was also informed that the pears were HUGE which was a surprise compared to the picture. I would shop with Harry and David again and again. I was so impressed with their service and how hapy the quality of the basket made my mother feel for her special day.

We like the healthier combination in this box better than candy, sweets or cookies, and that is why we ordered it as a gift for someone who is also health conscious. I was there when she received it, and she really seemed to love it. There were 6 nice large pears that appeared to be in excellent condition, and the cheese and nuts were a decent size, too. The only thing we didn't like is how it was packaged. The cardboard shipping box was difficult to open, and once we finally got the top of it off, all we could see was the gift itself, just covered in plastic wrap, not even a nice box top. So it looked kind of plain and unfinished as a gift. But I was happy that the pears were big and colorful, looked juicy, and were just the right ripeness. Along with the cheese and nuts it was a hearty and wholesome gift. I was very pleased with the contents and so was the recipient, and I would order it again. This order was placed Easter time and there was a promotion going on where this item was discounted, so I had some reservations about the condition the pears would be in, but they really seemed beautiful and perfect. I just wish the packaging were a little nicer and it didn't look like it came straight out of the shipping box.
